It’s a Party

28May09

Some little ceramic people I made a while ago for an organism-related project which frankly I don’t get. I actually had 2 or 3 more but they somehow got lost

Over the past few years, environmental organizations have managed to convince a large portion of society to replace incandescent light bulb with the energy efficient fluorescent bulbs (CFLs). In fact, the government will be banning the sale of the incandescent light bulbs in 2012. This means that these little guys are currently endangered, and so therefore I’ve decided to plant some light bulbs hoping that more will appear.DSC_7899

Desktop Smiles

15May09

Cardboard deskmates – I originally wanted to put these out around the school with them holding a little “call my owner” sign. There’s way too much tension at the school right now. I’ll wait till the summer. Inspired by Kacie Kinzer’s TweenBots.

Cardboard all the way. And that smigit of paper.

Tetris

14May09

This took way too long to make. There were actually a few months difference between when I made the mushrooms and the tetris pieces – so yes I did take the mushrooms down because I got bored. Can you tell that I’m missing two pieces? :]

Pieces made in flash – printed, then glued onto cardboard. Wrapped black posterboard paper around the edges (why didn’t i think of that earlier..)

Just some printouts of the Windows XP buttons – and placed in a punny location.

Giant Button

10Apr09

Buttons are great. Press em and something’ll happen. Or maybe you just like that pushy feeling. I sure do.

cardboard, construction paper, an old sonotube (from the mast of the ship in our last play), and some rubber bands.

I really can’t comment on any of these things that just randomly appear around my house. They just.. sorta happen. Here are two mushrooms that I’m sure any Mario fan would adore – hanging on some invisble string.

mushrooms

designed on photoshop – printed and pasted on cardboard, then painted the edges. (painting was horrible. never doing that again. ugh <- did you know that word’s in the scrabble dictionary?)

What else could you do with a stack of index cards on a bored day?

Thats right. 100% of 3 x 5 inch ruled index cards. no tape. nothing elastic. only index cards.
